On a cold but sunny day, three golddigger (left to right) MrNuss (Björn), AU (Karlheinz) and Buddy (Norbert) met to wash gold at the creek Rauriser Ache in Austria. Here some impressions and pictures of this trip:

Group foto in the morning. All the equipment had to be carried to the spot we wantet to investigate. we had two Elvo sluices, one equipped with a rack.
Norbert and I right in front of the boulder we wanted to move (green marks). We came with a lot of tools to move the rock, e.g. a winch, ropes etc. But moving a rock like this is not too easy...
One heroic deed later: the rock is lifted and tilted. The spot is now free to be exploited... But (surprise, surprise!) there was no gold under it although we found 5-6g around it!
The baptism of Norbert's new sluice (Elvo Super). Of course with beer!
Norbert and his new sluice in the wild water of the Rauriser Ache. We divided the rack so that every sluice was held by one half. Works pretty good!
The other "Elvo" sluice in the creek. Since karlheinz and I always work together, we always use one sluice. The flow was very fast and strong. Approaching the sluice to empty the buckets was an adventure of its own!
End of the Day: all brave boys get some chocolate ;-)

The Results were rather poor for Karlheinz and myself: we only washed 0,5g on one and a half day. Norbert beats us by finding the biggest nugget and more gold than we do. Better luck next time...
